Leadership Opportunity in Mining Operations
We are seeking a skilled professional to lead our pit services team at Mount Arthur South. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced mining leader to oversee the delivery of critical support functions.
About the Role
This leadership position involves overseeing pit services, water management, haul road construction and maintenance, and small projects that underpin mining operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for:
* Leading a team of professionals to deliver safe, reliable, and cost-effective outcomes.
* Managing resources effectively to achieve operational requirements.
* Driving compliance with safety, environmental, and operational standards.
* Fostering collaboration with Production, Technical Services, and Maintenance teams.
* Cultivating growth and performance among team members through coaching and supervision.
* Maintaining resourcing, labour, and equipment utilisation to achieve cost-effective results.
Roster & Location
The role requires working 5 days on and 2 days off, with a monthly Rest Day Off (RDO). Our operations are based at Mount Arthur South, located near Muswellbrook in the Upper Hunter Valley, NSW.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* Significant open-cut coal mining experience.
* Proven leadership skills, preferably at Superintendent or Senior Supervisor level.
* Strong planning, scheduling, and project delivery skills.
* Open Cut Examiner's Certificate of Competency (mandatory).
* Mine Manager's Certificate of Competency (desirable).
* A strong focus on safety, compliance, and stakeholder management.
* Financial acumen and ability to manage resources effectively.
