**The Role**
The Directorate has an opportunity for an APS5 Governance Officer within the Infrastructure Division (ID) Governance and Secretariat team. Duties may include, but are not limited to:
- Supporting the planning and scheduling of assurance and compliance activities through maintenance of a forward reporting planner and pre-tasking advice to stakeholders.
- Performing analysis and quality assurance of content, artefacts and supporting documentation for inclusion in Divisional Corporate and Statutory Reports.
- Developing and maintaining productive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure priority matters are actioned appropriately and in a timely manner.
- Contribution to ongoing improvements to IDs governance processes consistent with policy and reform initiatives.
- Maintenance of standard operating procedures for the tasks within the Governance role.
- Other tasks as instructed to assist within the wider Directorate.
**About our Team**
The Directorate of Business Improvement & Governance within the Estate Planning Branch in Infrastructure Division, SEG, is responsible for business governance and corporate functions across Infrastructure Division, and support to Estate programs and projects. The Governance and Secretariat team is responsible for the preparation and coordination of divisional input for corporate and statutory reporting such as the Budget Statements, Corporate Plan, and Annual Report, together with Divisional performance management reporting; together with managing secretariat functions for the Estate and Infrastructure Gate Review Committee, and the coordination of all divisional content for other ID and Enterprise Committees. The team works closely with the Office of the First Assistant Secretary, Infrastructure and the Office of the Deputy Secretary, Security and Estate.
We are looking for someone that can work under limited or broad direction to perform and achieve administrative work within an integrated workforce. We seek someone that can take independent action to pre-populate and draft responses from a range of internal sources that will expedite our Branch taskings and help to deliver quality and timely work outcomes.
The ideal applicant will exercise good judgement, demonstrate initiative, have strong written and oral communication skills, and be able to manage urgent taskings with short timeframes when required. If you have great teamwork and stakeholder management skills, a willingness to learn and to investigate new processes with a focus on continuous improvement, then you would be a good fit for this team.
- Demonstrated experience in a Governance or Corporate related field
- Demonstrated experience working collaboratively to build and sustain relationships with key stakeholders from a variety of backgrounds and levels of seniority
- A sound understanding of Government corporate reporting requirements
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- A high attention to detail, with the ability to present ideas persuasively
- Trustworthy, transparent and possess the highest levels of integrity
