About the Division
The Academy Services Division provides a range of specialist services to colleagues across the Academy, and to program participants (potential and current) to ensure high quality professional learning, and an optimal experience for our stakeholders. The Division's four specialist areas include learning design, data evaluation and evidence, communications and marketing, and participant and program support.
The Communications & Marketing team is responsible for supporting the Academy objective to influence public perceptions of the profession, for managing the Academy brand and its channels, and connecting participants into relevant programs through targeted marketing and communications.
About the Role
The Senior Digital Marketing Officer leads the design, development and implementation of the Academy's digital channels. The position uses an evidence and human centred approach to enhance the Academy's online presence and engage target audiences and provides expert guidance on, and implementation of, website and other digital channels, marketing and communications strategy, content management, user experience and digital marketing. The Senior Digital Marketing Officer plans and creates compelling content, oversee and optimise digital channels and build capability in the team and wider Academy.
The position works across the Academy to provide strategic communications advice and support, raising public awareness of the capability and status of school leaders and teachers.
Capabilities
To be successful in this position you will bring:
* Significant experience delivering creative, audience-centric digital communications strategies, content and plans that meet stakeholder and audience needs.
* Strong experience managing and leveraging digital channels and systems including, website content management systems (Drupal experience ideal), social media management platforms and channels and analytics tools such as google analytics. Experience using other SAAS tools for user experience, research and digital advertising is valuable.
* Strong problem-solving skills and experience fostering a continuous improvement approach, reviewing and analysing information to improve effectiveness of digital channels, with a particular focus on web.
* Demonstrated experience working on multiple priority projects at once, managing competing deadlines to deliver tangible business outcomes. You can adapt systems and processes quickly to changing priorities in the organisation or sector.
* Exceptional interpersonal and stakeholder management skills demonstrating the ability to liaise with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders on behalf of the Academy. You identify issues and build support for ideas or solutions to achieve outcomes.
* Exceptional communication skills, utilising formal and informal channels to engage stakeholders, achieve goals and manage consultation processes.
* Strong leadership skills. You hold teams, stakeholders and self to account and support effective issues resolution, establish clear plans that meet organisation and project goals. You improve others skills and talents through constructive feedback and consistent capability building.
Desirable Qualifications and Experience
Relevant experience working in a dynamic, high performing digital customer/communications/marketing function in a large or complex organisation.
A tertiary qualification in digital, communications, marketing or similar.
