Overview

Manager of Security, Corrective Services NSW – Statewide Talent Pool Creation

Talent Pool creation to fill future ongoing and temporary roles NSW statewide. Training and development opportunities available to build and maintain capabilities.

What You’ll Do

The Manager of Security provides high level operational leadership and direction for management in small, medium and large correctional centres, this includes the coordination of the purposeful day, effective provision of security, inmate related services and ensuring the maintenance of staff discipline. Manager of Security roles also lead and direct special projects or specialised services within Corrective Services NSW.

What We’re Looking For

You will be highly enthusiastic and motivated to support and lead a culture of integrity and discipline within the team. In this role, you are required to maintain confidentiality, utilise your proven leadership experience and knowledge to meet the demands of the role. Your proven experience will enable you to make informative decisions for the effective operation of the correctional centre. Critical to your success in this role is your ability to be an innovative leader that is passionate about implementing workplace reform and effective performance development systems for our custodial staff.

Essential Requirements

- Current and valid driving licence and willingness to travel within NSW
- Comply with National Heavy Vehicle Law and Regulations and Chain of responsibility Policy and Procedures (CESU roles only)

CSNSW is committed to continuing the professional development of senior staff holding the rank Manager of Security and part of this strategy includes the application of Section 10.4 of the Crown Employees (Custodial Executive Rank Officer – DCJ – Corrective Services NSW) Award. Managers of Security participate in a process which requires rotation to a different location at grade, within CSNSW after a period of three (3) years.
