Job Description
The Sales Account Manager is responsible for achieving sales by managing customer relations and the sales pipeline to achieve growth in identified market segments in line with the Wholesale Fuels Business strategy. The role involves applying commercial acumen to negotiate and close deals whilst assuring profit margins.
Role Responsibilities and Contributions:
* Sound knowledge of retail and merchandise value chain, principles, and processes
* Solid understanding of commercial retail metrics and value drivers, and the ability to draw dynamic insights and initiate follow‐up activity with stakeholders
* Proactive and methodical, with keen attention to detail
* Ability to positively engage and manage cross‐functional stakeholders and external service providers
* Ensure the CRM is up to date with all existing and new opportunities
* Grow market share by leveraging existing customer base to identify new opportunities with WFB products and services
* Work within approved margin/pricing matrix
* Manage customer debtors and credit limits in line with the prescribed framework
Qualifications
You will have experience in building strong ongoing customer relationships with a drive to succeed.
* Experience as a relationship manager, in a sales or a similar role
* Ability to build and maintain strong client and business relationships
* Proficient in the Microsoft suite
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Good conflict resolution and problem‐solving skills
* Some intra‐state travel will be required
* Proactive approach to business development
