Activities to be supported: Please specify below:
Will support the Integrated Broadcast Service (IBS) Product Manager and Designated Log Manager/Senior Log Manager within CJC03, in the delivery of IBS Sustainment and other CJC03 products to the Australian Defence Force.
1. Within the Materiel Management function, a Materiel Data Officer is accountable under limited direction to perform and achieve moderately complex materiel logistics inventory, asset management and Configuration Item Control work within an integrated workforce.
2. They are accountable to have a good understanding of and compliance to relevant legislative frameworks, government decision-making and Defence's mission and policy requirements.
3. A Materiel Data Officer will be accountable for organising their workflow, making decisions within their defined parameters relating to area of responsibility and will seek guidance when required.
4. They may exercise some discretion with respect to how legislation, procedures and guidelines are interpreted and applied to their work.
5. They will provide administrative support that is informed and directed by their knowledge of the Materiel Management function.
6. They may undertake some research and analysis activities.
7. A Materiel Data Officer will be required to share information, monitor work practices, set work priorities and develop local procedures. They may supervise and provide leadership to a team, providing coaching and on-the-job training for newer and less experienced team members.
8. A Materiel Data Officer may be required to communicate with, respond and provide advice to a range of stakeholders on moderately complex operational and administrative issues to achieve work unit and Defence outcomes.
9. They will be accountable to contribute towards ongoing self-improvement and professional development.

Tasks to be performed & outcomes and deliverables:
1. Coordinate and perform a variety of tasks related to materiel logistics inventory, asset management and Configuration Item Control.
2. Assist with the implementation of policy, processes and procedures that support materiel logistics inventory and asset management in accordance with Defence requirements.
3. Draft responses to correspondence, briefs and reports for higher delegate consideration.
4. Identify current Defence materiel logistics policies as they apply to materiel logistics inventory and asset management activities.
5. Build and sustain effective relationships with team members and actively participate in teamwork and group activities.
6. Work collaboratively, operate as an effective team member and provide constructive feedback.
7. Recommend solutions to issues impacting materiel logistics inventory and asset management to achieve desired outcomes.
8. Interpret and comply with legislative, policy, regulatory frameworks and organisational objectives.
