If you have strong experience advising on awards, EA interpretation, disputes or workforce change and want a role where you can negotiate, influence and work directly with unions this is an outstanding opportunity.
This organisation also offers competitive pay, excellent employee benefits and long‑term career development pathways.
How will this role develop your career? You will work closely with an experienced Head of Industrial Relations and senior IR leaders who prioritise mentorship, development and practical exposure to national enterprise bargaining and industrial strategy.
You’ll build deep skills and experience in:

Managing union relationships and representing the business in negotiations
Supporting matters before industrial bodies
Designing practical, plain‑English solutions to complex industrial issues
Partnering with People & Culture leaders to uplift IR capability at scale

What work will you do? Alongside the responsibilities described above, you will:
Build strong, constructive relationships with unions and employee representatives
Provide expert advice on industrial instruments, awards and employment legislation
Support workforce change programs and risk mitigation work
Represent the organisation in disputes or bargaining matters before industrial bodies
Drive simplification of complex industrial provisions into practical, plain‑English outcomes
Monitor industry trends and competitor agreements to inform negotiation strategy

Who will be successful in this role? You will thrive if you have:
Strong Industrial Relations or Workplace Relations experience or a background as an employment lawyer looking to move into a hands‑on IR role
Demonstrated experience with enterprise agreements, award interpretation or industrial risk
Experience engaging with unions, regulators or tribunals
Strong influencing and relationship‑building skills
The ability to balance compliance, risk and commercial outcomes
Excellent drafting and simplification skills
A collaborative, solutions‑focused working style
