About the Role
We are currently seeking a compassionate and reliable Female Disability Support Worker to provide high-quality, person-centred support to participants under the NDIS. This role involves assisting clients with daily living activities, community participation, and personal care in accordance with their individual support plans.
This is a female-identified role due to participant preference and privacy requirements, in line with the Equal Opportunity Act 2010.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide personal care (showering, dressing, grooming, toileting, menstrual care where required)
* Assist with manual handling and mobility support
* Support participants with daily living tasks (meal prep, cleaning, shopping)
* Administer medication (where authorised and trained)
* Support community access, social engagement, and appointments
* Follow and implement NDIS support plans and behaviour support strategies
* Maintain accurate case notes and incident reports
* Promote participant choice, independence, dignity, and wellbeing
Essential Requirements
* Certificate III or IV in Individual Support (Disability) or equivalent
* Current NDIS Worker Screening Check
* Working With Children Check (if required)
* Current First Aid & CPR Certificate
* Valid Australian Driver's Licence and reliable vehicle (preferred)
* Rights to work in Australia
* Experience supporting participants with physical, intellectual, or psychosocial disabilities
Desirable Skills
* Experience with high-care and complex needs
* Manual handling and hoist experience
* Knowledge of restrictive practices and behaviour support
* Strong communication and documentation skills
