**In this job you will**:
As an Automation and Planning Manager at DHL, you'll overcome daily logístical challenges to ensure warehouse operations run smoothly. In a fast-paced environment, where every day is different, you'll have the autonomy to make decisions and be able to continue professional growth. Use your talents to design, develop and review logístical solutions to meet the customer needs, continuous improvement and productivity targets and drive the future of logistics, using the latest technology.
Duties & responsibilities will include:
- Liaising with internal and external stakeholders to achieve best practices for automation optimisation, warehouse design and planning
- Reporting and analysis of data for the customer and operations
- Define requirements, analyse complex issues and develop solutions to determine the ideal distribution workload capacity.
- Resolve and analyse issues in day-to-day logistics operations and execute practices focusing on increasing effectiveness and efficiency, and controlling costs
- Maintain a capacity model and seek out optimisation opportunities
- Developing a deep understanding of the complexity across the range of our work streams
- Work closely with the operations and Inventory teams to deliver on our weekly ,monthly and yearly plan to meet our customers needs
**You have the following qualities & qualifications**:
- Solid experience within a 3PL or Supply Chain environment
- Previous experience in a similar role within a highly automated environment
- Warehouse Management Systems (WMS)
- Effective influencer with exceptional communication skills
- Possess strong communication across all levels and problem solving skills
- Analytical thinker with previous experience in automation design solutions
- Commitment to a continuous improvement culture
