The primary focus of this role is to deliver efficient, effective and professional administrative services as an integral member of Chronic Disease and Post-Acute Programs' team within Gold Coast Health
The Role
An opportunity has become available for several Administration Officers (Chronic Disease and Post Acute Programs) to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 13 000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.
You will
* Provide quality, efficient and friendly administrative support for the Service
* 'All day' checking of booking systems, clients contacted and appointments scheduled accurately
* Prioritise workload and duties in the absence of supervision executing ethical decision-making
* Managing and maintaining day-to-day clinical rostering across administration services
About you
To be successful in this position you will require:
* Whilst not mandatory, previous experience working in a dynamic, fast paced, changing health care environment is desirable.
* Whilst not mandatory, knowledge of medical terminology is desirable.
* Evidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against and remain vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Hepatitis B
* Tuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required
* Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed
* Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost)

Salary
* Permanent full time and permanent part time (one full time position and one part time position, 30.4 hrs p.f.)
* Base salary ranging from $79 272 - $88 158 per annum, $39.98 - $44.46 per hour

People and Operations is responsible for steering Gold Coast Hospital and Health Services (GCHHS) strategy to improve Hospital and Health service performance through its people and key support systems.
Administrative Services provide a range of administrative support across all GCHHS facilities.
Chronic Disease and Post Acute Programs provide comprehensive multidisciplinary, community -based services to adult clients over the age of 18. This service operates within the Operations directorate. The programs provide multidisciplinary care to clients experiencing Chronic illness and clients recently discharged from the acute hospitals.
