This is a permanent part-time (0.6FTE) position commencing Term 1, 2026

Roebuck Primary School (PS) aims to provide a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that caters for the academic, as well as the social, emotional and physical needs of our students.

Our staff are passionate about student learning and work collaboratively across year levels to improve the educational outcomes of all students. We focus on providing a solid foundation in literacy and numeracy and offer a range of whole-school teaching programs, such as Let's Decode, Spelling Mastery and the use of Daily Reviews, and Explicit Direct Instruction (EDI) lesson design to ensure that all students have opportunities to shine and be successful.

The Role

The successful applicant will ideally be highly motivated and possess professional knowledge, practice, and experience to deliver an engaging Music program in line with the Music Curriculum. The successful applicant should ideally be able to cater to differing learning styles using a range of teaching and learning strategies to engage and motivate all students.

The successful applicant will support major school directions and be committed to whole school approaches and initiatives. Solid communication and interpersonal skills, as well as a willingness to liaise with colleagues, parents and external networks to establish strong community partnerships are also highly desired.

Mobility appointments for permanent metropolitan and south west teachers

Eligible permanent teachers who hold a substantive teaching position in a North or South Education Region school, or a South West Education Region school* may elect to undertake this role as a 3-year mobility appointment, with a right of return to their substantive position. At the cessation of the 3-year mobility appointment, teachers can elect to return to their substantive role, or transfer permanently into this school.

Eligibility

To work with us, you must:

- hold an eligible teacher qualification and registration.
- be an Australian or New Zealand citizen, permanent resident or have a valid visa with relevant work rights for the term of the appointment. More information about employment eligibility can be found on our website.
- apply for a WA Working with Children Check before you start; and
- consent to a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check and obtain a current Screening Clearance Number issued by the Department of Education’s Screening Unit before you start.
