Project Overview:
The Pluto Train 2 project involves the expansion of a second LNG train at the existing Pluto LNG onshore facility near Karratha in Western Australia.
This project will process Scarborough gas and have an LNG capacity of approximately 5 million tonnes per annum. As part of the construction, additional domestic gas infrastructure will be installed to increase capacity to approximately 225 Terajoules per day.
Main Responsibilities
* Supervise and direct operations within the Mechanical discipline.
* Ensure assigned construction operations and contractors' performance are in compliance with specifications and within schedules and budgets.
* Perform employee reviews and identify training and development opportunities for subordinate personnel.
* Complete performance evaluations on direct reports.
* Provide leadership for safety, accident, and fire prevention on the project.
* Coordinate safety training and enforce safe work practices at all times.
* Implement ZERO Accident Philosophy and ensure compliance with Bechtel and local/national safety codes, requirements, and standards.
* Monitor the activities of subcontractors to ensure compliance with specifications and schedules.
* Interface with Labor/Industrial Relations for craft recruitment and training programs.
* Responsible for implementing corporate project policies, procedures, and instructions within assigned mechanical operations.
* Prepare material requisitions for tools and consumables and coordinate through procurement to obtain these materials.
* Plan the manpower and equipment required to execute the job.
Required Knowledge and Skills
* Sound knowledge and experience in the installation and alignment of both rotating and static equipment.
* Knowledge of EPCM contract Management, and the Contractor's and their subcontractor's responsibilities.
* Demonstrated commitment to Environment, Safety, and Health (ES&H). Demonstrable commitment to a Zero Accident safety program.
* Previous experience with the installation and alignment of GE turbine-driven compressor packages and associated equipment highly regarded.
