The Prospect
HealthShare NSW is seeking a Laundry Assistant to join the Linen Services team. The role involves sorting, ironing, folding, packing, loading and unloading washers and dryers while maintaining high standards of cleanliness in the laundry facilities. No prior experience is required. We provide full training and support to help you contribute to the wellbeing of patients.
Responsibilities
- Sort, iron, fold, pack, load and unload laundry items.
- Operate and maintain laundry equipment to high hygiene standards.
- Contribute to a clean and safe work environment and support continuous improvement.
Qualifications and Eligibility
- Meet essential requirements as outlined in the Position Description.
- Australian work rights (citizens, permanent residents, or valid work visa).
- NSW Health Category A position requires immunisation and Tuberculosis (TB) screening. Upload OASV Undertaking/Declaration Form and TB Assessment Tool with vaccination evidence where applicable.
- Pre-employment checks: physical health assessment may be required if externally appointed to HealthShare NSW.
