Our Administration Team are looking for enthusiastic and motivated individuals to work alongside our team in supporting the hospital's Admissions and Reception functions on a casual basis.
As An Administration Officer Your Responsibilities Will Include
Manage a busy reception desk
Answer and redirect calls
Prepare admission paperwork
Perform Health Fund Checks as required
Manage the collection of excess/co payments
Complete other clerical tasks such as data entry
Essential Criteria
Authority to Work in Australia
Working with Children check
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Highly developed organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines in a fast paced environment
Strong attention to detail
Experience in MS Office (Outlook, Word, and Excel)
Works well independently and within a team
Flexible to work a variety of shifts – early/late shifts & weekend work
Prior hospital administration system experience is highly desirable

Come and join our expert team of surgeons, specialist doctors, dedicated nurses and allied health professionals at Newcastle Private Hospital. We are a 189 bed, acute, private hospital facility co-located on the John Hunter Campus at Rankin Park. The hospital has 11 theatres including a hybrid theatre and a 15 bed Intensive Care Unit.
We also have a cardiac suite including a cardiac catheter laboratory and a 16 bed Coronary Care Unit. A private maternity suite including 6 birthing suites and a special care baby nursery is available for families in the Newcastle region. Newcastle Private Oncology Centre provides specialty care for individuals and their families/carers undergoing all aspects of cancer treatment and care with both an inpatient unit and day infusion lounge.
