About the company

The Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (RACS) is a not for profit, membership-based organisation leading the way in surgical performance, professionalism and patient care in Australia and New Zealand.

With service to our members at the forefront of our business, we support ongoing learning and development for our surgical workforce of more than 7,000 surgeons and 1,300 surgical trainees and Specialist International Medical Graduates.

We are focusing on collaboration and innovation to better serve our members and to enhance the contribution of surgeons to the community.

About the role

We have a roles based in Australia and Aotearoa New Zealand.

Primary Responsibilities

* Provide effective, efficient and timely administration and organisational skills to ensure the successful delivery of the EMST and CCrISP courses provided by Skills Training.
* Liaison with Faculty and Program Coordinators to support delivery of programs.
* Ensure designated Course Director, other Faculty members, fellow Course Coordinator(s) and all participants are fully and accurately informed on all aspects of their course(s) within agreed timeframes.
* Ensure all course documentation is accurate and distributed within agreed timeframes; and that required information is recorded accurately in the RACS data systems.
* Liaise with course venues for bookings and catering whilst ensuring venues are provided with necessary information.
* Liaise with Skills Training Department staff to ensure all parties adhere to agreed RACS policies and procedures.

Skills and experience

* Registered Nurse with current registration with APHRA or AoNZ equivalent.
* Observed an EMST or CCrISP course.
* Experience in coordinating events and educational workshops.
* Experience supporting complex projects.
* High level customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with tact, respect and diplomacy with various staff and stakeholders.
* Excellent organisational and time management skills, including ability to effectively prioritise, work under pressure and manage multiple projects.
* Excellent written communication skills with experience in preparing reports, correspondence, emails and / or other communications.
* Attention to detail, with a high level of accuracy.
* Ability to effectively problem solve.
* Ability to work both independently and in a team(s) environment.
