About the role:
Looking to move from public practice or build on your existing commercial experience?
Join our newly formed finance team, supporting the Senior Accountant and CFO in driving improvements to systems, processes, reporting and governance. Your work will have a direct impact on decision making and business growth.
Your responsibilities will include:
* Verify, allocate, post and reconcile transactions to ensure accurate, error-free accounting data that drive reports and summaries.
* Assist with month-end close, including reconciling business accounts and supporting workpapers
* Assist with statutory obligations such as tax returns, BAS, FBT, payroll tax, workers compensation and superannuation.
* Assist with the implementation of new accounting processes and contribute ideas for streamlining financial processes.
About you:
* Accounting qualification (or working towards one); CA/CPA desirable.
* Proficient in accounting software (NetSuite knowledge a bonus) and Microsoft Office.
* Detail focused, collaborative, and eager to learn.
* Open to early career or experienced accountants, industry experience not essential.
