The Senior Fund Analyst sits within the investment and portfolio management function, supporting the Portfolio Manager in executing a diversified property investment strategy across a mixed asset base.
The role is focused on value creation through active portfolio management, capital allocation, and disciplined investment support, including financial modelling, investment analysis, transaction execution, and preparation of investment committee and governance materials.
Operating within an institutional investment framework, the role plays a key part in identifying, evaluating, and executing asset optimisation opportunities such as divestments, repositioning, and capital recycling. Strong commercial judgement and stakeholder influence are critical to delivering risk-adjusted returns and portfolio performance.
The role operates with a high degree of autonomy within defined investment parameters and contributes directly to portfolio strategy, deal execution, and fund performance.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead analysis of asset optimisation opportunities including divestments, repurposing, and capital recycling initiatives.
* Support development and execution of portfolio strategy, investment theses, and capital allocation decisions.
* Build and own financial models for investment appraisal, valuation, scenario analysis, and return optimisation.
* Maintain and enhance fund models for forecasting, valuation, and portfolio performance tracking.
* Monitor portfolio performance against investment benchmarks, targets, and strategic objectives, providing actionable insights.
* Support end-to-end transaction execution, including due diligence, structuring support, and investment committee materials.
* Manage external advisors including agents, valuers, legal, and technical specialists.
* Contribute to continuous improvement of investment processes, systems, and reporting frameworks.
Stakeholder Engagement & Investment Governance
* Work with Corporate Finance to ensure alignment with capital structure, funding strategy, and investment priorities.
* Partner with stakeholders across Asset Management, Finance, Tax, Planning, Regulatory, and Operations to deliver investment strategy.
* Engage with senior stakeholders and governance forums to support investment decision-making.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders including advisors and counterparties.
* Influence outcomes through clear, data-driven investment rationale and commercial reasoning.
About You
* 5–10 years' experience in real estate investment, private equity, infrastructure funds, REITs, corporate finance advisory, or institutional property investment.
* Strong track record in investment analysis, capital allocation, and portfolio optimisation.
* Strong understanding of transaction structuring, deal execution, and commercial negotiation in institutional environments.
* Advanced capability in financial modelling, valuation, and investment appraisal, including scenario analysis.
* Experience preparing investment committee or governance-level materials.
* Proven exposure to acquisitions, divestments, or portfolio repositioning in deal-led environments.
* Strong ability to develop and defend investment recommendations using commercial and risk-based reasoning.
* Strong stakeholder engagement and influencing skills with senior internal and external counterparts.
* Comfortable working in fast-paced, transaction-driven environments with competing priorities.
* Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and own end-to-end workstreams.
* Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills (investment modelling and IC-level standards).
* Degree qualified in finance, economics, property, accounting, or related discipline.
