Key Duties and Responsibilities
Provides support & maintenance for applications, identifying issues, evidence gathering, error fixing, testing, installation, and developing additional functionality.
Develop new reports and data extracts from existing applications within the control environment defined in the IT policies and procedures using approved tools
Liaises with users to develop requirements for software and supporting processes
Develops overnight operations support procedures and monitors and participates as necessary
Develops technical requirements and guides for software development tools, technologies and techniques
Monitors and reviews business continuity preparations and testing for the key applications
Key Requirements
5+ years' experience in application support in a corporate / enterprise environment
Extensive experience in technical support of applications, preferably gained from within a financial institution or from a vendor
Depth in understanding of the financial markets to enable development of appropriate solutions to user issues
Proven ability to understanding data relationships and database analysis
Technical proficiency in reporting and analysis.
Technical knowledge of Collapso, Wall Street, MSAccess, Yellowfin and SSRS, SQL server T-SQL, SQL server reporting services (SSRS), Python, VB.net, and VBA.
Ability to manage conflicting priorities and workloads and to ask for assistance / guidance when required
Experience providing guidance to end users in the development of spreadsheets and databases and other technologies
Strong communication skills, ability to engage with stakeholders and understand their requirements.
Business acumen along with technical skills.
