The Impact You'll Make
* National Role - Brisbane-based role with regular travel across territories to support team members, meet with key clients, assess market opportunities, and ensure consistent service delivery standards across all locations.
* Team Development - Manage and develop a geographically dispersed team of eight Business Development Managers across multiple states. Two in Brisbane, two on Gold Coast, one in Sydney, one high-performing GP-qualified representative in Canberra, one junior representative in regional NSW plus actively recruiting.
* Complete Restructuring Authority - Exercise full authority to assess current performance, redistribute territories, adjust team size, modify compensation structures including car allowances, and make changes as needed.
* Hands-On Coaching - Spend significant time in the field with BDMs conducting joint client visits, demonstrating best practices, and providing hands-on training to elevate team capabilities.
* Performance Systems Implementation - Establish performance management and accountability systems including, visit frequency expectations, activity tracking and call planning processes, territory analysis and strategic priority setting, regular performance reviews and development planning.
* Strategic Client Focus - Target ideal customer profile of established GP practices and specialist clinics.
* Cross-Functional Collaboration - Work closely with marketing, events, and project teams to develop targeted campaigns, specialist education events, and materials that support field sales efforts and build market reputation.
The Experience You'll Bring
Healthcare Sales Leadership - Proven experience in the healthcare sector managing sales teams selling into GP practices and specialist clinics.
* Hands-On Leadership Style - Comfortable spending extensive time in the field conducting joint client visits, coaching team members one-on-one, and directly contributing to revenue generation rather than managing from behind a desk.
* Change Management Expertise - Ability to work with diverse performance levels, from high-achieving team members to long-term employees resistant to change, while building confidence in junior staff transitioning from clinical backgrounds.
* Systems and Process Development - implementing CRM systems, establishing performance metrics, creating territory structures etc
