We are looking for a skilled and hands-on Maintenance technician with experience with mechanical, electrical and automation systems to join our pharmaceutical manufacturing team. This role is critical to ensuring that production and utility equipment operates safely, reliably, and efficiently while maintaining compliance with GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) standards.

Your Role
Carry out preventive, corrective, and breakdown maintenance across filling lines, packing lines, utility systems, and other pharmaceutical equipment with limited supervision. Troubleshoot any vision system related issues. Perform changeovers on filling and packing lines. Support planned maintenance shutdowns and equipment calibrations to minimise downtime. Ensure all work complies with GMP, safety, and regulatory requirements. Maintain accurate maintenance records, work orders, and equipment logs in logbooks, QMS, and CMMS systems. Work closely with production, quality, and engineering teams to ensure smooth plant operations. Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment performance and reliability. Respond to urgent maintenance requests and provide on-call support as required. Be able to work standard shift 6am-2pm. Occasionally be available to work afternoon shift 12pm-8pm and weekends on-call roster as part of plant operations.
Skills and Experience
Trade qualification or degree/diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, or Mechatronics Engineering (or equivalent). Proven experience as a Maintenance Technician (or equivalent) in a pharmaceutical, biotech, food, or other GMP-regulated industry. Knowledge of VSDs, PLCs, pumps, valves, utilities, vision systems and process equipment. Ability to interpret technical drawings, manuals, and P&IDs.; Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to maintenance. Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Desirable
- Experience with troubleshooting automation systems, including PLCs.
- Experience working with cleanrooms, filling lines, and packing lines.
- Familiarity with CMMS (Computerised Maintenance Management Systems).
