Accounts Receivable Officer - Part Time (2 Years Fixed Term)

About the Position

The role is responsible for ensuring timely, accurate invoicing and collection of customer payments. The role supports healthy cashflow, manages debtor relationships, and ensures adherence to internal controls and financial policies.

This is a 2-Years Fixed Term Part-Time position requiring 30 hours per week .


Duties and Responsibilities


Accounts Receivable Management

* Generate customer invoices accurately and in a timely manner.
* Monitor outstanding debt and follow up on overdue accounts.
* Maintain the AR ledger, including payment allocation and account reconciliation.
* Investigate and resolve invoice discrepancies or disputed items.
* Prepare monthly AR ageing reports for management review.
* Escalate high-risk or long-overdue accounts as required.
* Reconcile of bank accounts to ensure accuracy and transparency,
* Maintain accurate client records and documentation in compliance with internal controls and audit requirements


Customer Support

* Respond to customer billing enquiries professionally and promptly.
* Work closely with Operations and Sales to resolve account or billing issues.
* Build effective relationships with key customer accounts.


Finance Administration

* Assist with end-of-month AR closing activities.
* Support annual audit requirements relating to AR documentation.
* Ensure AR processes comply with financial policies and internal controls.
* Identify process efficiencies to improve invoice accuracy and reduce debtor days.
* Support system upgrades, automation initiatives, and finance process optimisation.


Required Skills and Abilities

* Previous experience in Accounts Receivable or similar finance role.
* Strong understanding of AR processes, invoicing, and collections.
* High attention to detail and accuracy.
* Excellent communication and customer service skills.
* Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
* Valid Australian work visa or work rights are required.
* Experience in logistics, transport, or freight forwarding sector.
* Exposure to ERP/finance systems (Workday / CW1)
