About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced A Class Industrial Electrician to join a leading manufacturer of GRP Pipe and Fittings. This critical role will focus on maintenance operations and electrical systems management within a manufacturing environment.
Your primary responsibility will involve fault finding and quality control and preventative maintenance scheduling- spanning industrial electrical systems and manufacturing equipment. You will collaborate closely with maintenance teams and apprentices, including production staff and management, to ensure optimal equipment performance and safety standards.
This role offers a unique opportunity to work with advanced industrial systems and develop technical expertise while contributing to a safe and efficient manufacturing operation. Industrial electrical experience and technical troubleshooting skills are essential.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Perform dayshift roster duties and mentor apprentice electricians
2. Read and interpret wiring schematics and technical documentation for system implementation
3. Conduct fault finding, quality control, and make necessary adjustments to electrical systems
4. Execute preventative maintenance according to established schedules and documentation requirements
5. Engage with production teams to minimize downtime and maintain operational efficiency
6. Collaborate with maintenance team members and work independently when required
7. Manage breakdown maintenance and factory electrical system repairs
8. Provide testing and tagging services and knowledge transfer to junior staff
9. Contribute to workplace safety culture and continuous improvement initiatives

Qualifications:
14. Minimum relevant years' experience in industrial electrical work
15. Expertise in Industrial Electrical Systems (manufacturing environments)
16. Relevant certifications in SA Electrical Workers License and other electrical technologies
17. Demonstrated knowledge of industrial electrical standards and safety protocols
18. Experience with PLC and Variable Speed Drive systems (advantageous)
19. Proficient with electrical testing and diagnostic equipment
20. Familiarity with breakdown maintenance and factory electrical systems
21. Strong problem-solving and team collaboration skills
22. Must be eligible for SA Electrical Workers License at time of commencement
