We are seeking a skilled and reliable Rigger to join our client's dynamic team as part of the Gracewell Group.
The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and efficient setup and dismantling of rigging systems on various construction sites. Their ability to work at heights, operate machinery, and use hand and power tools will be essential in this role.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Rigging Operations
o Perform rigging and lifting operations in accordance with safety standards and project requirements.
2. Equipment Maintenance
o Set up, inspect, and maintain rigging equipment, including ropes, cables, pulleys, and winches.
3. Collaboration and Safety
o Collaborate with team members to ensure proper load distribution and safe lifting techniques.
o Adhere to all safety protocols, including working at heights and confined spaces.
4. Task Management
o Follow detailed instructions and work plans to ensure timely and accurate completion of tasks.
o Operate Elevated Work Platforms (EWP) as required.
5. Work Environment
o Maintain a clean and organised work environment on-site.
o Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members to ensure smooth project progression.
Minimum Requirements:
1. A valid White Card for construction site work is essential.
2. A High Risk Licence - Riggers is required for all rigging tasks.
3. A current Drivers Licence and own transport are necessary, as work sites vary.
4. A Working at Heights Ticket is required for tasks performed at elevated levels.
5. An EWP Ticket is preferred, demonstrating experience with Elevated Work Platforms.
6. Proven experience in the construction industry, with the ability to use hand and power tools effectively.
7. A Right to Work in Australia must be held by the applicant.
8. Strong emphasis is placed on reliability, punctuality, and attendance.
9. Physical fitness is essential, with the ability to handle physically demanding tasks.
10. Adaptability is key, as the candidate may need to adjust to different work environments and tasks.
11. A strong ability to listen, learn, and follow instructions meticulously is required.
12. Confined Space Certification is required for tasks performed in confined spaces.
