About the Role
At Tomago Aluminium, we offer a career of reward and growth, with an amazing opportunity for a Process Engineer in our Cast Products department. Reporting to the Casting Process Superintendent, you will be responsible for optimising casting process on the slab casting machine as well as conducting process audits to provide management with technical assistance and advice to optimise production, improve resource utilisation, reduce costs and highlight any safety and environmental issues.
Primary Accountabilities
* Developing action plans to improve performance
* Diagnose trends and carry out root cause analysis to optimise operations
* Analyse historical data and ability to predict future trends
* Develop and review technical standard operating procedures
* Ability to coach and train others to ensure process performance targets are met
* EH&S – risk assessment and hazard identification
About you
You can demonstrate:
* Chemical, Process or other relevant Engineering qualifications – or demonstrated relevant experience
* Experience in a heavy industry and/or manufacturing environment desirable
* Advanced Excel and Microsoft Office products
* Proven fault finding & root cause analysis experience
* Possess sound technical and statistical analysis skills
* Demonstrated auditing experience
* Good planning, organisational and project management skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks
* Strong communication skills (oral and written) and the ability to establish effective working relationships with a variety of people at different levels
