The Role MSF Sugar is seeking a dedicated and hardworking Process Operator - Sugar Production to join our team on a full-time, permanent basis. This exciting opportunity is based at our Tableland Mill, located approximately 25km west of Mareeba on the picturesque Atherton Tablelands. In this role, you will be responsible for the smooth operation of critical sugar milling equipment, including the high-grade Fugals, low grade Fugals, sugar driers and pan stage operations. This is an incredible opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the sugar production process and receive comprehensive training to become a fully certified Sugar Boiler. The Responsibilities Some of the key responsibilities include: Operate and monitor Pan Stage Operations, ensuring efficient and precise crystallisation of both high- and low-grade sugar. Manage the operation of Fugals (high-grade and low-grade). Perform troubleshooting and maintenance duties to keep processes running smoothly. Ensure the quality and consistency of sugar production, including overseeing the operation of ‘C sugar’ conditioning. Maintain high standards of housekeeping across your work station, ensuring a safe and clean work environment at all times. Use computer systems to monitor and control various aspects of the operation. It would be advantageous that you have: Sugar Milling Experience and understanding of milling operations. Previous operating experience. Other qualifications or prescribed occupational training such as loader, forklift, dogger. As our operation is continuous 24/7, during the crushing season, you will need to ensure you are available to work all hours required on a rostered, rotational basis.
