The Position An exciting opportunity has become available for a Permanent Part-Time (0.7FTE) General Medicine Staff Specialist conveniently located just over an hour’s easy drive south of Sydney and within two and half hours from Canberra. The General Medicine Staff Specialist is responsible for the provision of specialist services to patients presenting through the Emergency Department, inpatients and outpatients. The General Medicine Staff Specialist will proactively: Support the development of General Medicine services at the hospital. Support and facilitate a culture of learning and contemporary best clinical practice. Support and develop General Medicine teaching and research capacity within the department Advanced Trainees that are expected to receive FRACP within 6 months may be considered for this role and are encouraged to apply. Essential Criteria Specialist registration or eligible for specialist registration as a Medical Practitioner with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA). Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP) and demonstrated subspecialty training in General Medicine and/or specialist recognition within 6 months. Evidence of continuing medical education and self-monitoring/audit practices consistent with the scope of practice requirements of the position. The Package Total remuneration package: $186,241 - $229,825 Training, Education and Study Leave (TESL) – 25 calendar days per year and funding of $38,000 p.a.
