Planning Manager: Lead the Development of Transport Planning Programs
As a key member of our team, you will lead the annual development of forward planning programs, working collaboratively with TMR Delivery Areas and other investment programs to drive prioritization and funding alignment.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and maintain program management principles for TSPP, including governance frameworks and prioritization processes.
* Lead strategic transport projects and programs across the state, ensuring integrated, affordable, and value-for-money solutions.
* Engage stakeholders and collaborate internally and externally to align planning, investment, and governance for intergovernmental programs and partnerships.
* Represent the department at meetings, forums, and working groups on strategic transport planning issues.
* Prepare complex ministerial correspondence, program reports, presentations, briefing notes, submissions, and other general correspondence.
* Contribute to a positive working environment, participating in ongoing business improvement processes and mentoring staff members to develop best practices and promote continuous improvement.
* Lead and manage teams, actively participating in performance conversations to build and support professional development.
Requirements
* Leadership experience delivering large and complex transport system investment programs.
* Experience in program management and governance processes.
* Understanding of transport infrastructure strategies and plans, and delivery of transport planning projects.
* Strong stakeholder engagement skills, collaborating across multiple business areas and external agencies.
* Experience leading high-performing multi-disciplinary teams, driving culture that values diversity and embraces change.
