Electrical Engineer (Design and Control) | Brisbane QLD | Permanent Full-Time Join a team shaping the next generation of industrial control systems. We’re growing our Brisbane office and looking for a Senior Electrical Engineer ready to lead complex control system electrical design from concept to As Built. As a Senior Electrical Engineer, you will play a key role as part of our electrical design team working across diverse nationwide projects. You will work directly with external clients, project managers and other engineers to develop design documentation and electrical schematics according to project requirements. You will primarily set your own schedule and assist in oversight of design throughout the team. Your designs will be used on in-house control panel builds, external builds (control, MCC, etc) and onsite electrical works. Responsibilities of the role include: Core design work: Lead and deliver LV and ELV electrical designs including studies, schematics, device selection, and documentation. Leadership: Lead electrical design, mentor engineers, review and sign off designs (RPEQ), and ensure delivery to Australian Standards. Collaboration: Liaise with project managers, vendors, and clients to align designs with technical and commercial objectives. Innovation & quality: Develop internal standards, propose new solutions, and drive consistent quality across projects. Support: Provide technical assistance and guidance through design, installation and commissioning To be successful in the role you will possess the following qualifications and experience: Essential Tertiary degree in Engineering Minimum 5 years in industrial electrical and control system design RPEQ, or ability to become registered in near future Demonstrated experience with LV control panel and switchboard design to AS61439 Strong proficiency in AutoCAD or similar design software Innovative thinking and good attention to detail Professional level verbal and written English skill Australian citizen, permanent resident, or visa with full working rights Enthusiasm for the role and able to take ownership of the design process Desirable Experience with lightning protection, high voltage protection Experience with drafting/design in ETAP, SKM Power Tools or PowerCAD Experience interfacing directly with clients and suppliers What We Offer: At Saunders, we invest in our people because we believe it makes our team stronger and better equipped to deliver on our promise and values of OneTeam, Zero Harm, Excellence, Innovation, Integrity and Respect.
