About the role
As a NILs Loans Officer, you will:
* Conduct face-to-face and remote loan interviews with clients
* Assist with compiling and submitting loan applications
* Follow up on required documentation and liaise with Centrelink where needed
* Promote the NILs program and connect clients to other Community Gateway services
* Maintain accurate client records and meet reporting requirements
* Support loan clients who fall behind in repayments
You'll be based in Lismore, but may occasionally travel across the NSW North Coast region.
What we're looking for
Essential:
* A genuine understanding of the needs of people on low incomes
* Relevant qualifications and/or experience in community services, finance or similar
* Strong time management skills and the ability to meet targets and deadlines
* Proficient computer skills, especially in databases and Microsoft Office
Desirable:
* Experience in microfinance, loans, or financial support services
Additional requirements:
* Current NSW driver licence
* Willingness to undergo a National Police Check
