Your role
Homes NSW is a division of the Department of Communities and Justice. It brings together the housing and homelessness functions of the Department of Communities and Justice, NSW Land and Housing Corporation, Aboriginal Housing Office and key worker housing functions from across government all under one roof.
Homes NSW leads work to deliver more social and affordable housing, end the cycle of homelessness, and deliver quality public housing to our 262,000 tenants across NSW.
The Project Officer performs project management and supports activities to contribute to the development and delivery of a range of projects in line with established objectives.
What You'll Do
Bringing your finely tuned organisational skills, you will:
Provide project management and support services to contribute to the delivery of projects in line with agreed objectives, timeframes, budgets and quality standards
Undertake research and analysis to support project development, process improvement and informed decision making using best-practice methodologies
Prepare reports and briefs, coordinate resources, and maintain accurate project documentation to support the implementation and monitoring of project plans
Collaborate with key stakeholders and coordinate working groups, committees, and consultations to support effective project delivery.
Source, collate, and compile data to track project progress against established milestones
Identify emerging issues, risks, trends and support timely resolution to ensure projects stay on track
What We're Looking For
Proven ability to manage or support complex projects, including the preparation of reports, resource coordination, and maintaining project documentation.
Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders to ensure project success.
Sound understanding of project management principles, with a focus on delivering results within agreed timelines, budgets, and quality standards
Proven experience working in a fast-paced environment where you will be self-motivated and highly organised
Current NSW Driver's licence
