About The Opportunity
We have an exciting full time opportunity for a Maintenance Team Leader to join the team working at Charlesbrook Residential Aged Care home in Templestowe. Reporting to the Regional Asset Manager, this role will ensure the condition and appearance of our homes are of the highest standard to provide a pleasant and safe environment for residents, staff and visitors.
Responsibilities
* Hands-on repairs and maintenance
* Management and co-ordination of maintenance of the building and its environment
* High level of customer service to residents
* Maintenance of records and reports
* Budget management
* Provide leadership, supervision and co-ordinate site maintenance staff
* Comply with current legislative standards around maintenance, aged care workplace health & safety and manual handling
* Participate in a shared on-call roster to ensure continuity of service
What do we need from you?
* Knowledge of maintenance procedure and commercial and domestic construction practice
* Experience in Contractor Management
* Knowledge of relevant legislation requirements, codes & standards
* Understanding and empathy towards aged persons and their living requirements
* Relevant Certificate IV qualification or relevant experience
* Valid working rights and open manual driver's licence (Class C)
* NDIS Worker Screening/Yellow Card (or willing to obtain)
* A pre-employment medical assessment may be required for this role
* Ability and willingness to participate in a shared on-call roster to ensure continuity of service
