The Role
As a Mathematics teacher at Yanchep SC, the successful applicant will use their professional knowledge, understanding and experience to deliver a highly engaging learning environment across all year groups. Along with high expectations and a commitment to achieving excellence the suitable applicant should ideally have proven abilities in learning program planning and high‐impact instructional practice to facilitate improved student outcomes.
Yanchep SC is seeking teachers that are strong team players who support improvement in teaching and learning in a secondary school environment. With a culture of high trust and collaboration, the successful applicant will ideally work closely with all members of the mathematics team to promote growth through professional conversations, coaching and peer observations and to embrace all challenges and opportunities.
Aligned to the college's Whole School Instructional model, the successful applicant should ideally display an understanding of Explicit Direct Instruction, High Impact Teaching Strategies, strong behaviour management, knowledge of differentiation and the ability to cater for our 'Students at Education Risk'.
The successful applicant ideally should have the ability to reflect on data and implement changes based on the needs of the students and their professional practice, knowledge around upper school Australian Tertiary Admission Rank (ATAR) courses such as Applications and Methods is desirable but not required.
You would ideally possess excellent communication and public‐relations skills that allow you to build and maintain collaborative and respectful partnerships across the college and the wider community and possess exceptional interpersonal, organisational, and instructional skills as you support the Maths Learning Area through the College's School Improvement agenda.
