What's the role?
This is a new role focusing on consulting medium and large businesses on enterprise content, compliance, and copyright solutions for staff workflows and AI applications. As part of a new product launch, the Enterprise BDM will target key industries, identifying and securing high-value corporate partnerships to grow News Corp's presence in the Australian market for Rights & Content Solutions. The role is key to winning new business, shaping acquisition strategies and using market insights to find long-term opportunities. You'll work closely with the B2B team to drive sales, activation and engagement.
* Consult with corporate clients to sell NCA rights and NCA content solutions into the enterprise corporate market.
* Develop a solution selling approach to solve for knowledge and compliance gaps in client workflows, in clients systems, and for client adoption of AI applications.
* Reporting to the Head of Enterprise Sales and with a dotted line to the Head of Licensing this role contributes to a high-performing and accountable team
* Build strong internal stakeholder relationships—critical to success in the BDM role and essential for driving efficiency and collaboration.
* Collaborate with the B2B team to shape and deliver a targeted new business acquisition strategy.
* Develop data-driven strategies and sales plans to build a strong pipeline and close high-value opportunities.
* Drive acquisition of new corporate customers across key industry verticals, nationally and across multiple News Corp Australia assets.
* Meet ambitious new business targets for a new product, delivering on both volume and revenue goals across The Australian and broader News Corp assets.
* Proactively prospect and nurture new customer relationships to maximise acquisition and revenue potential.
* Oversee seamless onboarding of new clients while managing relationships to ensure long-term relationships
Who are you?
* You are competitive, relentless and resilient with a minimum 5 years in a new business development role in either enterprise content, risk & compliance, tech, legal or B2B Media roles.
* A results-oriented self-starter with a proven ability to deliver new business via prospecting, canvassing and closing
* Proven internal stakeholder experience that has led to contributing to a successful strategic sales roadmap delivering new business
* Track record of successfully managing large new business negotiations from prospect to close status
* Strong strategic sales skills – adding valuable insights into the Enterprise sales roadmap
* Strong relationship building skills – successfully build and manage effective (senior C-suite) relationships, both internally and externally
* Solid project management skills – able to multitask and prioritise
* Strong verbal and written communication skills
