The Office of Industrial Relations (OIR) is seeking a skilled and motivated Senior Infrastructure Support Officer to play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality ICT infrastructure services across a dynamic and complex environment.
What You'll Be Doing
As a senior member of our Infrastructure Team, you'll be responsible for the design, implementation, monitoring, and support of key IT infrastructure systems, including servers, networking, patching, security, virtualisation, and performance monitoring.
* Provide high-level technical expertise and leadership in infrastructure operations.
* Lead initiatives in patch management, system upgrades, and network implementation.
* Coordinate SCCM and software packaging requirements.
* Manage asset performance, security, disaster recovery, and backup systems.
* Provide mentorship and technical support to junior staff.
* Liaise with internal stakeholders and external vendors to ensure seamless ICT service delivery.
* Assist with the installation, upgrades, and maintenance of servers and networks.
* Stay current with the latest technologies in the industry.
You'll also help drive innovation by researching new technologies and contributing to long-term ICT strategy and risk management.
What we're looking for:
We're after someone with:
* Experience in systems and network administration (e.g., Microsoft Intune, SCCM).
* Strong leadership and problem-solving abilities in a technical environment.
* Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively.
* Knowledge in managing telephone systems, disaster recovery, and antivirus capabilities.
* A keen eye for emerging tech and opportunities for continuous improvement.
Desirable
* Relevant qualifications in ICT, infrastructure, or system/network administration (not mandatory).
