About the role: We are seeking an experienced Payroll Officer to join the People and Culture team for a period of up to 6 months.
Working 3 to 4 days per week with hours and times open to negotiation.
The Payroll Officer is responsible for processing payroll on a fortnightly basis for approximately 400 employees whilst being the first point of contact for all payroll queries.
As well as ensuring legislative compliance, participating in auditing processes and generating regular reports.
About you: As an expert in payroll processes with experience in a variety of industries, you will have a keen eye for detail and demonstrate an acute understanding that near enough is not good enough.
Additionally, you will need to have the following skills and experience: Demonstrated experience managing payroll processes for a medium sized business Extensive knowledge and experience across all technical payroll activities, including Australian statutory and compliance-related requirements, month end reporting, year end processing and submission of the WGEA report.
