About the role
Are you a finance professional with a passion for delivering insightful reporting, leveraging advanced analytical tools and driving business performance? SA Power Networks is seeking an Analyst - Planning and Reporting, to join the team and play a key role in shaping the financial future of SA Power Networks.
As an Analyst in the Planning & Reporting team, you will work closely with the Business Relationship Management team and key stakeholders across the organisation to deliver high-quality reporting, actionable insights and innovative solutions that support informed decision-making.
Key responsibilities:
* Utilise management accounting expertise and advanced analytical tools such as Power BI, Adaptive, Python, and Excel modelling to deliver meaningful insights and drive business performance.
* Coordinate and prepare the annual capital and operating budgets as part of the annual financial planning process.
* Manage the forecasting process across operating and capital activities to produce timely and accurate forecasts for key stakeholders and for presentation to management.

About you
* Diploma Qualification in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or business-related discipline with sound knowledge and practical application of accounting standards and financial management practices.
* Professional Accounting Qualification (CA/CPA) or working towards
* Extensive knowledge of financial systems, data and analytics, and has demonstrated experience using data analytic software and tools such as PowerBI, Adaptive, Python and excel modelling.
* You have demonstrated ability in the formulation and management of budgets and forecasts, and to perform financial evaluation and analysis of operating expenditure and capital programs.
* Demonstrated experience of applying insights to drive business performance, using analytics to influence trends and improve assumptions underpinning long term business planning.
* You are a motivated and enthusiastic individual that enjoys working in a high performing team and is constantly looking for progress and improvements.
* You have strong communication and collaborative business partnering skills.

Our salaries are positioned well above industry standards - with this role offering a starting annual base salary of $135,153.06
