Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced and innovative professional to fill a Lecturer position in Nursing.
About the Role
* The successful candidate will inspire and enhance the student experience with a focus on Nursing topics, especially clinical skills training and/or supervision of students undertaking work integrated learning.
* This role requires the creation, coordination and conducting of inspiring teaching and undertaking the role of Topic Coordinator when required.
* The Lecturer will also be involved in making an independent contribution to the review, renewal, development and design of curricula and courses that are attractive to existing and new cohorts of students.
Key Responsibilities
1. Prioritise, coordinate, monitor workflow, and nurture students' creativity and critical-thinking skills, providing informal day-to-day feedback to all staff under their supervision in line with the University's policies, practices and standards.
2. To support maintenance of contemporary practice, knowledge and skills, concurrently engaging in practice as a Nurse in a clinical or community setting is also part of this role.
Requirements
* Sustained evidence of excellence in teaching at a tertiary level.
* An independent contribution to the development, delivery and evaluation of innovative teaching and learning strategies both in the classroom and in clinical education, simulation and student assessment.
* A Doctorate in a relevant field or equivalent clinical experience and professional standing in Nursing and hold and maintain a current membership with a relevant professional association.
