The Opportunity
We are seeking a driven and detail-oriented Electrical Engineering Graduate to join our team at iTech Corporation in Rydalmere, Sydney.
This role is suited for a recent engineering graduate (and up to two years of experience), who is eager to launch their professional career in a collaborative and high-paced environment. Working closely with experienced engineers and estimators, you will contribute to technical, commercial, and project delivery aspects of electrical engineering projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare electrical shop drawings using EPLAN and AutoCAD for internal and external projects.
- Create and maintain Bills of Materials for suppliers and internal builds.
- Manage and track purchase orders and coordinate with suppliers for deliveries.
- Assist with timesheet reviews, ensuring accuracy across project teams.
- Generate histograms and progress visuals to support active project tracking.
- - Contribute to high-level project timelines, tracking key milestones and deliverables.
- Support to develop project budgeting, cost tracking, and financial updates.
- Assist the estimator in preparing quotes and managing the pipeline of upcoming works.
- Support the preparation of cost and revenue forecasts across multiple projects.
- Contribute to claims and invoicing processes in coordination with project managers.
- Participate in constructability reviews and provide technical input where required.
- Ensure ongoing compliance with Australian Standards (AS3000 and AS61439) and project specifications.
- Liaise with and support supplier management, including quality and schedule reviews.
- Assist with workshop build reviews to align with design intent and build quality.
- Assist site installation compliance and progress reviews.

About You
- Postgraduate with up to 2 years of experience.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (accredited by Engineers Australia).
- Strong attention to detail and analytical thinking.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Well-developed time management and problem-solving abilities.
- Must have full working rights in Australia.
Desirable Attributes
- Internship or placement experience in construction or engineering environments.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD, EPLAN, Bluebeam, or electrical estimating software.
- Understanding of AS/NZS 3000 and other relevant electrical standards (AS61439)
- Construction White Card.
- Interest in pursuing Chartered status with Engineers Australia.
