Overview
If you are an experienced Product Manager who enjoys technical problem solving, structured discovery and delivery control, this role will suit you. A major Australian bank is migrating its merchant terminal and eCommerce payment products to a new infrastructure platform and needs a contractor who can bring order, clarity and pace.
You will join a compact squad that works closely with engineering and stakeholders across the wider payments domain. Most of the future state is defined, although the remaining design questions and dependency decisions are slowing progress. Your task is to resolve these gaps, frame the work so engineering can move faster and ensure customer experience remains steady throughout the migration.
Day to day, you will shape requirements, confirm design choices, partner with engineering during sprints and prepare the artefacts required for risk, compliance and governance approvals. You will also support a more junior product manager, sharing practical guidance drawn from your own experience.
The role suits someone who enjoys unpicking complexity, aligning stakeholders and setting a clear path for delivery.
