Description
As a Service Support Officer, you will provide a welcoming environment to our clients to ensure clients access our services in ways that are person‐centred, safe, responsive and convenient. You will be the first point of contact for many clients and will help refer them to appropriate services within Anglicare WA. You will also provide support to ensure the smooth running of the office providing administrative support, accurately entering data and maintaining electronic client files. You can bring your administration and customer service skills and thrive in an environment where you can make a positive impact on the community.
This is a permanent, part‐time (3 days per week, including an evening shift) opportunity based in Mandurah.
Skills and Experiences
* Relevant experience in a similar role or Cert IV qualification in community services.
* Exceptional communication skills with an ability to relate to a wide range of clients in need of assistance, especially young people.
* Ability to respond to clients in distress, and be comfortable deescalating people who are upset.
* Demonstrated ability to identify client needs, assess risk and prioritise accordingly.
* Well-developed computer skills (MS Word, MS Outlook, client management system) as well as administration skills.
* Ability to prioritise, plan work and maintain accurate records.
The successful candidate must possess a current National Police Clearance valid within one year and a current Working with Children Check. Please note that the organisation may seek to request an international police clearance if necessary. A police record is not an automatic barrier to employment with us. * A salary from $75,387 (pro‐rata) per annum + 12% superannuation.
* Salary packaging of up to $15,900 (which equates to circa $4K after tax) plus additional salary packaging of up to $2,650 for meal and entertainment expenses.
* Additional 3 days leave per year over festive period.
