Position Overview
We are seeking a qualified and experienced Mechanical Engineer to join our dynamic operations team. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, directing, and optimising our production processes and equipment to ensure operational efficiency, product quality, and safety compliance.
Key Responsibilities
Design and Development:
Design and develop mechanical systems, components, and equipment, ensuring compliance with project specifications and industry standards. Review and prepare technical specifications and detailed design calculations.
Installation and Commissioning:
Oversee the installation and commissioning of mechanical systems, ensuring compliance with safety standards and operational efficiency. Test systems to ensure they meet performance requirements.
Operations Management:
Monitor and manage mechanical systems during operations, ensuring efficient performance and addressing any operational issues. Conduct performance evaluations and recommend corrective actions as needed.
Maintenance and Optimisation:
Implement and manage preventative maintenance programs for mechanical systems. Troubleshoot and perform repairs as needed to maintain system reliability and operational effectiveness.
Analysis and Improvement:
Analyze mechanical systems and processes to identify areas for improvement. Propose and implement enhancements to improve system efficiency, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.
Compliance and Safety:
Ensure that all mechanical systems comply with relevant safety, environmental, and regulatory standards. Review safety protocols and ensure adherence to health and safety regulations.
Research and Innovation:
Conduct research into new mechanical technologies and practices. Test and evaluate new products or systems for potential integration into projects.
Reporting and Documentation:
Prepare and maintain technical documentation, including project reports, compliance records, and equipment manuals. Provide regular updates on project progress and system performance.
Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience in mechanical engineering.
Strong understanding of mechanical systems, equipment, and industrial processes.
Proficiency in design and analysis software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks).
Excellent problem‑solving and analytical skills.
Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
Ability to manage projects and lead teams effectively.
