Key Responsibilities

1. Develop and execute comprehensive government relations strategies, yielding tangible outcomes for clients.

2. Provide high-level strategic advice to client executives on navigating political landscapes and advancing their interests.

3. Monitor and interpret key political, legislative, and regulatory developments, identifying risks and opportunities for clients.
\
4. Build and maintain strong relationships with government officials, industry stakeholders, and other influential parties.
\
5. Represent clients in critical meetings with senior government officials and departments.
\
6. Craft compelling policy briefs, submissions, and thought-leadership content that informs and influences decision-makers.
\
7. Oversee the delivery of major advocacy campaigns, events, and parliamentary engagement activities that drive results for clients.
\
8. Mentor junior team members, providing guidance on client delivery and professional development.
\
9. Support business growth by contributing to new opportunity identification and pitches.
\
\
10. Requirements
\
\
11. Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as political science or public policy. Postgraduate qualifications are an advantage.
\
12. Minimum 3-5 years' experience in government relations, public policy, or a related field, with a proven track record of delivering senior-level impact.
\
13. Deep understanding of the Australian political landscape and regulatory environment.
\
14. Established networks within government and the ability to build influence quickly.
\
15. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including experience briefing executives and preparing material for decision-makers.
\
16. Strong commercial awareness and ability to contribute to business growth.
