The Role
The Business Support and Facilities Officer will provide administrative support and facilities maintenance and project oversight to JLU‑W. Under limited direction you will be required to:
* Manage a small team to provide administrative support to JLU‑W
* Manage unit funds including providing advice on appropriate funds expenditure and maintaining the unit finance register
* Oversee administrative functions such as records management, intranet content and on‑boarding and off‑boarding of personnel
* Support workforce management including recruitment processes and management of reservists
* Proactively manage facilities maintenance requirements and requests and infrastructure projects
* Build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders including contractors and project managers
About our Team
JLU‑W combines Australian Defence Force, Australian Public Service, and Industry Partners in a unified logistics capability. The unit forms part of the Logistics Operations Branch under Joint Logistics Command. JLU‑W provides regional logistics support to Defence capability throughout Western Australia. JLU‑W operates across a number of sites including HMAS Stirling on Garden Island off the coast of Rockingham, Palmer Barracks in South Guildford and RAAF Base Pearce in Bullsbrook. JLU‑W logistics services include:
* Warehousing and distribution
* Materiel maintenance
* Contingency stores management
* Loan pool / equipment and vehicles
The Business Management team provides broad business administrative and governance support to the unit as well as to internal and external stakeholders to ensure efficient and effective operations.

* Demonstrated ability to build and sustain effective relationships with team members and key stakeholders to achieve desired results.
* You will have the ability to work autonomously and as part of a bigger team.
* Experience in managing facilities maintenance or similar.
* Experience in managing infrastructure projects or similar.
