Electrical Technician Job
This is an exciting opportunity to work as an Electrical Technician in a dynamic environment. The ideal candidate will have the skills and qualifications to install, maintain and repair electrical fixtures, fittings and associated elements.
About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Electrical Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing efficient and effective electrical services, including installation, maintenance and repair of electrical fixtures, fittings and associated elements.
* Carry out electrical works of maintenance, improvement or construction nature within Council Buildings. In co-operation with other trades, assist in successful completion of multi-trade projects.
* Undertake duties associated with the repair and maintenance of electrical installations and systems associated with Council's Water and Sewer Operations, including specialist knowledge in Pump Station repairs and maintenance, Telemetry control systems, Plan/Diagrammatic Interpretation and Pump Station Operations.
* Carry out electrical tagging of Council's electrical appliances and equipment.
* Liaise with other sections of Council and the public on matters relative to electrical works.
* Be prepared to undertake emergency and/or breakdown work outside normal working hours.
Requirements
* Recognised Electrical Trade Certificate
* Current qualified Electrician's Licence
* Current WHS General Induction for Construction Training Certificate
* Minimum of three years post-trade experience
* Sound knowledge of WHS and Risk Management requirements
* Class C Driver's Licence
* Through working knowledge of statutory and legal requirements relative to the electrical industry
* Experience in staff supervision
* Demonstrated commitment to the principles of honesty and integrity
* Demonstrated commitment to and understanding of Work Health and Safety
