Cairns RSL Club is seeking a skilled and experienced Chef to join our professional kitchen team at our leading community club in Cairns.
This is a full-time position offering a minimum of 38 hours per week across 5 days over a 7-day roster.
Duties and Responsibilities:
* Kitchen management
* Prepare and cook high-quality meals in accordance with menu requirements
* Ensure consistency, presentation, and portion control of all dishes
* Maintain food safety and hygiene standards in compliance with regulations
* Assist with menu planning and stock control
* Work collaboratively within a fast-paced kitchen environment
Minimum Requirements:
* Relevant trade qualification (Certificate IV in Kitchen Management or equivalent), or
* At least 3 years of relevant full-time work experience as a Chef
* Strong knowledge of food safety standards and kitchen operations
* Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a team environment
Salary:
$70,000 to $85,000 per annum based on skills and experience, plus superannuation
