Neil Mansell Transport is a national family‐owned transport company. Our Line Haul operations specialise in general and refrigerated freight services between Brisbane, Darwin, Perth and Adelaide.
We currently have a position for an experienced Yard Supervisor to oversee the day‐to‐day depot operations of our Broome transport yard. This is a permanent full‐time role. Onsite accommodation is available.
As Yard Supervisor, you'll be responsible for the safe and efficient day‐to‐day operations of the yard and the organisation of heavy transport operations predominantly for general and refrigerated freight.
The duties include:
* Overseeing the receiving and forwarding of freight
* Leading and supporting our onsite freight loaders
* Leading and supporting our local drivers
* Safe loading and unloading of trailers
* Other yard‐based duties as required
Ideally, successful applicants will have the following:
* Minimum of 2 years experience in the heavy transport industry
* Minimum 2 years experience in a supervisory role
* Excellent communication and time‐management skills
* Excellent leadership skills
* Working knowledge of Chain of Responsibility, load restraint and NHVAS legislation
* Demonstrated ability to ensure compliance with Safety, Health, Environmental, and Quality policies and procedures
