ADMINISTRATION OFFICER - Health Information Services


Your New Role as Administration Officer - Health Information Services

Working closely with the Health Information Manager and Team Leader, you will play a pivotal role within Health Information Services based at Gosford Private Hospital:

* Efficient provision of patient medical records for admissions, outpatient visits, reviews, audits and education.
* Retrieval of medical records from wards or courier.
* Completion of discharge procedure, including checking records against daily discharge list.
* Assist with collation (into predetermined order) of discharged medical records to ensure completion and accuracy prior to coding, including application of patient labels and culling tape as required.
* Follow up all outstanding records, results, reports and discharge summaries.
* Photocopying, faxing and filing of medical records / reports as required.
* Management of off-site storage and retrieval of medical records.
* Maintenance of Webpas Patient Management statistics and Patient Master index, as well as generation of reports.
* Train / assist other Medical Records / Front Office staff in medical record clerical procedures to cover leave and ensure continuity of revenue cycle.

About You

To ensure your success, you will have:

* Strong interpersonal and communication skills
* Excellent time management and organisational skills
* A 'can-do', team-based mentality
* Commitment to quality, professional development and confidentiality
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and health information management systems
* Previous experience in Health Information Service desirable, but not essential
* Ability to obtain Working with Children Check and National Police Clearance
