Job Title: Operations Fitter Apprentice

This role offers a unique opportunity to develop mechanical and electrical systems in the aerospace industry.

You will be responsible for conducting various fitting and assembly skills, including the use of hand tools, measuring and inspection equipment/techniques, and electrical/electronic test techniques.

Key responsibilities include:

* Fitting and assembling parts according to technical specifications
* Conducting quality control checks on work completed
* Identifying and implementing improvements to production processes

The successful candidate will have the ability to work with minimum supervision, taking responsibility for the quality and accuracy of work undertaken.

Achieving this apprenticeship will provide you with the knowledge and skills required to work effectively within a team environment.


Apprenticeship Structure

Year 1 - Work-based learning, attending day release at college to complete year one of the Level 3 Advanced Manufacturing (Development Knowledge) through classroom-based learning.

Year 2 and 3 - Predominately work based at Eaton Mission Systems Division, Wimborne, with 1 day per weekday release to college to complete year two of the Level 3 Advanced Manufacturing (Development Knowledge) Technical Certificate.

Year 4 - Work-based at Eaton Mission Systems Division, Wimborne, completing a final one-year placement alongside gathering a portfolio of work-based experiences from desired areas of the business in preparation for the concluding assessment.

To be considered for this apprenticeship, you should have:

* A strong understanding of mechanical and electrical principles
* Excellent problem-solving skills
* Able to work effectively as part of a team
* Demonstrate a positive attitude towards learning and development
