Are you ready to lead a high-performing laboratory team and drive excellence in testing services across Queensland? Boral is seeking a dynamic and experienced Laboratory Manager to oversee all aspects of our laboratory operations, ensuring top-tier service delivery, safety, and compliance.
As the Laboratory Manager, you will be responsible for managing day-to-day laboratory functions, maintaining NATA accreditation, and leading a team of up to 20 staff. You'll play a pivotal role in fostering a positive team culture, driving operational efficiency, and delivering budgeted performance targets.
Key Responsibilities
* Oversee laboratory operations including customer service, safety, staffing, and compliance
* Maintain NATA accreditation and ensure adherence to ISO/IEC 17025 standards
* Manage laboratory budget and monthly revenue reporting
* Lead and mentor a team
* Resolve staff and service issues effectively
* Manage subcontractors and ensure asset compliance via Maximo/QEST
* Prepare and submit monthly KPI reports
* Deliver budgeted P&L improvements
* Ensure safety and wellbeing of the laboratory team
What You'll Bring
* Diploma or Degree in a relevant field
* Current driver's licence
* Strong knowledge of ISO/IEC desirable)
* Previous experience in laboratory supervision or management
