Purpose of the Role

As our new Commercial Specialist, your role will be to effectively manage supplier performance in line with legal & regulatory obligations to support the Motor Claims department and company's strategic goals.

You will:

- Develop and maintain relationships with insurance suppliers to ensure compliance with contractual obligations & performance expectations
- Facilitate the negotiation, review & renewal of supplier contracts to ensure alignment with compliance requirements and the business objectives
- Monitor suppliers' adherence to regulatory requirements, industry standards and internal policies to ensure compliance at all levels
- Evaluate supplier performance against key performance indicators (KPIs) and service level agreements (SLAs) to ensure quality, efficiency, and effectiveness
- Prepare regular reports on supplier performance, compliance status, and any remediation actions for senior management
- Identify and mitigate risks associated with supplier performance that could impact the insurance company's operations, reputation, or regulatory compliance
- Address and resolve any issues or disputes that may arise in services delivered to claims operations and provide satisfactory resolutions in a timely & efficient manner
- Co-ordinate & oversee training & guidance to internal stakeholders for onboarding of new suppliers, use of portals etc, including being accountable for the coaching & mentoring your own team

Knowledge and Experience:

- 3 years' experience in a similar role with relevant qualifications in Business, Commerce, or a similar discipline
- Strong working knowledge of insurance, recoveries and claims management relative to applicable legislation, processes and industry best practice
- Exceptional communication skills along with excellent analytical, problem solving and decision-making skill
- Demonstrated ability to effectively engage, influence & develop others and able to liaise with various stakeholders
- High level project management experience i.e. an ability to deliver results to agreed timeframes
